Nebius Secures $700M to Expand AI Infrastructure in U.S.

European AI infrastructure leader Nebius, formerly Yandex N.V., has secured $700 million in funding from prominent investors, including Nvidia, Accel, and Orbis. The capital injection will drive Nebius’ U.S. expansion, enhance its cloud infrastructure offerings, and strengthen its position in the competitive AI infrastructure market.

Nebius Funding to Propel U.S. Expansion

Nebius plans to use the $700 million to expand its footprint with co-location facilities in Kansas City and Paris, and triple the capacity of its data center in Finland. These investments align with Nebius’ goal of competing with private players like CoreWeave while delivering scalable AI-focused cloud solutions.

Strong Financial Position

Following a restructuring and divestment earlier this year, Nebius now boasts $3 billion in total funding. The company projects an annualized run rate (ARR) of $750 million to $1 billion by 2025. With significant resources at hand, Nebius is well-positioned to meet rising demand for cloud infrastructure tailored to AI applications.

Strengthened Governance and Investor Confidence

Accel partner Matt Weigand will join Nebius’ board as an observer, further solidifying the company’s governance and investor relations. This strategic addition aligns with Nebius’ vision of becoming a global leader in AI infrastructure.

With $3 billion at its disposal, Nebius is poised to transform the AI infrastructure landscape, leveraging its expanded footprint and innovative technology to cater to the growing demand for scalable and efficient cloud solutions.
