Ameba, an AI-driven platform set to reshape the future of supply chain management, has secured $7.1 million in Seed funding. Led by Hedosophia and supported by Visionaries Club, which reinvested after spearheading Ameba’s pre-Seed round, along with participation from Anamcara, this investment will fuel Ameba’s global expansion.

Tackling Supply Chain Complexity with AI

Founded in 2023 by Cedrik Hoffmann and Craig Massie, Ameba focuses on solving one of the biggest pain points for businesses: fragmented supply chains. By leveraging AI, Ameba consolidates data from various sources—emails, PDFs, Excel spreadsheets—into a unified platform. This centralized “single source of truth” enables brands to track their supply chains in real-time, predict potential disruptions, and address challenges such as bottlenecks and regulatory hurdles with greater agility.

“Companies are drowning in data while trying to manage sprawling inventories and constant fire-fighting across supply chains. There’s rarely time to step back and assess the bigger picture,” said Craig Massie, Ameba’s co-founder and CTO. Ameba’s solution automates the extraction and integration of data, allowing brands to focus on being proactive rather than reactive.

Delivering Tangible Benefits

Ameba’s platform delivers immediate operational improvements, including a 30% reduction in manual data entry and significant enhancements in on-time deliveries. Given that nearly 50% of supplier orders experience delays—leading to an estimated 8% annual revenue loss due to stockouts—the impact of such improvements is substantial. In fact, increasing supplier on-time deliveries can slash operational costs by up to 20%.

Cedrik Hoffmann, co-founder and CEO, highlights the urgent need for modernization in industries like fashion, where many companies still rely on outdated tools like Excel and WhatsApp for supplier coordination. “Our mission is to turn supply chains from being a bottleneck into a source of growth and efficiency,” said Hoffmann. With its user-friendly platform, Ameba is empowering companies to optimize their operations while meeting them where they are today.

Positioning for Broader Market Challenges

Ameba is strategically poised to tackle broader industry challenges like supply chain fragmentation and growing complexity. According to Isabella Yamamoto, Principal at Visionaries Club, companies are increasingly burdened by these complexities, and Ameba offers a streamlined solution to simplify processes. By making supply chains more transparent, agile, and efficient, the platform also helps businesses meet sustainability targets and adhere to new regulations, such as the EU’s Digital Product Passports (DPPs).

Global supply chain disruptions have severe economic consequences—businesses can lose up to 62% in revenue due to inefficiencies, while 40% of consumers will switch brands if products are unavailable. Ameba’s predictive capabilities provide a competitive edge by helping companies mitigate these risks before they escalate.

Expanding Across Industries

Ameba’s customer base has grown rapidly, especially in consumer goods and home decor. British hardware brand Plank, for instance, uses Ameba to manage over 300 products sourced from 20 suppliers across Asia and Europe. In just three months, the platform flagged 140 critical production and delivery issues. More recently, Ameba has entered the fashion industry, onboarding one of Europe’s largest fashion groups, with stores in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium.

With this new funding, Ameba is set to accelerate its expansion into other high-potential industries, such as fashion and textiles. Hoffmann envisions a future where Ameba transforms supply chains from a burdensome necessity into a key driver of growth and competitiveness.

Our Take

In an era where companies must deliver faster, cheaper, and more sustainably, Ameba’s AI-powered platform offers a timely solution. Its ability to provide real-time insights, reduce inefficiencies, and improve on-time deliveries sets it apart in a crowded market. As supply chains become increasingly complex, Ameba is positioned to become a cornerstone in how companies navigate these challenges and turn them into opportunities.

With $7.1 million in fresh capital, Ameba is primed for growth, ready to revolutionize supply chains across industries, and positioned to set new industry standards in the years ahead.
